Pathway Church has a long legacy of faith in Strongsville, Ohio. Since 1998, we have been gathering to worship Jesus in this place and inviting others to do the same. Keep reading to learn more about our history as a community.

Pathway Church is a member of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches. Pathway continues to strive to glorify God by remaining true to our mission and values. We give God thanks and praise for His faithfulness and pray that He will continue to work in us and through us to grow in Christ-likeness, to advance His kingdom, and to exalt His name. Here is our story.
Pastor Roger Andrews and his family moved to Strongsville to start up what was then known as Forest Hills Community Church.
The first service was held at Kinsner Elementary School.
Pastor Andrews was called to start up a church in Indiana, and Kip Kratche became our new pastor. Kip is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary.
We changed our name to Pathway Church and added the tag line “Discovering Life — Following Christ” to better reflect our ministry as we continue to help people discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and to become fully devoted followers of Him.
Pathway acquired the Old Strongsville Recreation Center as its new home
That was a lot of history, but you may still have questions. Here’s what you need to know.
While we certainly hope not, everybody’s a little different, and we know it can be awkward or uncomfortable visiting a church for the first time. That said, you can join us anytime with full confidence that we genuinely care about you and want to make you feel welcome!

Whether you’re dressed in your “sunday best” or not, we want to make sure that you feel welcome and at home! Our church is pretty casual in dress and demeanor, so wear what’s comfortable and expect to feel welcomed.
We gather together each week to praise God and to hear from His Word. A band leads us in a time of musical worship to Jesus. Then Pastor Kip - or guest - will teach a verse-by-verse study of the Bible, including a relevant way to apply what the Bible says to your daily life. We will end the time together with another song and a prayer.
We don’t pressure anyone to give money (especially if you’re new). In fact, we actually don’t want you to. Part of the reason people give is to provide ways to make you feel special and welcomed! We genuinely care about you, and you’re our valued guest.
Super serious. Not only do we believe that the Bible is God’s complete and inerrant Word, but our church was founded on the principle that biblical verse-by-verse teaching comes first.
Whether it’s a normal service, or some other event, you can expect all of our music and teaching to align with -and come from -the Bible.
Absolutely not. We believe in Jesus-exalting, biblically-centered, verse-by-verse teaching through the whole Bible. You won’t hear about “financial seeds of faith”, and you’ll never receive favoritism from our leadership because of your financial gifts (our pastor doesn’t even know who gives and who doesn’t!).
To help people discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and to become fully-devoted followers of Him.
The Apostle Paul’s earnest desire, for which he labored and prayed so diligently, was that Jesus Christ be “fully formed” in the lives of those he encountered. Likewise, the mission of Pathway is to guide people from all levels of spiritual process into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ until His character and nature is fully formed in their lives.
This mission statement guides everything we do at Pathway. Each department designs its efforts according to the mission statement. Each ministry is evaluated and measured against the mission statement. Our elders are charged with making sure that we remain true to the mission.
