PALs Adult Day Program

ABOUT US
PALs Adult Day Program is a ministry of Pathway Church. PALs is designed for adults with developmental disabilities who have graduated from high school and are eligible for Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) services through their local county board. It is not a requirement that program participants be enrolled on a Medicaid Waiver (IO, Level I, or SELF waiver). Private pay options are also available.

We offer programming Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.  Our program is structured to promote comfort, routine and security.  Each day will be comprised of 5 sessions that will last approximately 45 min. with a 15-min. transition break.

Key Program Areas
Our program will focus on person-centered planning in five key areas of growth and development:
Faith
–Biblical Instruction:  Lessons will focus on building meaningful relationships with Christ and with others.
With Christ —  We will teach about the character and attributes of God and His purposes and ways with the hope that our participants will grow in their love and understanding of Him.
With Others  —  We will teach Christ-like attitudes and behaviors (e.g., forgiveness, compassion, kindness, patience, self-control, thankfulness) and how to manage emotions (e.g., anxiety, fear, grief, anger, frustration, jealousy, disappointment).  Our hope is that the lessons will promote both an inner well-being and also positive social behavior that is needed to develop and maintain healthy relationships with family, friends, and within the community.
–Prayer
–Worship Music
–Arts & Crafts
–Church MinistriesParticipants will have the opportunity to be involved in various church ministries including designing greeting cards, decorating, assembling handouts, assisting with outreach activities, and more.
